I didn’t agree with Tim Scott a whole lot, but I have a lot of respect for him. I’m not good at staying optimistic and cheerful, and he does that well.
In US political news, Sen. Scott just dropped out of the race for president. I was thinking about the human under all the politics. Under tax policy, labor law, regulation, deregulation, and sound bytes, there’s a person there. A human being with thoughts, feelings, and a sense of calling walked away from a great endeavor. If we give Sen. Scott the premises he claims, this was the right time to do it.
That must have been hard though.
Just trying to see through the fog and see the people.
